Experts from Krakow lecturing at the Faculty of Natural Sciences
Between the 18th and 20th November 2019, Dr hab. Agnieszka Gren, Director of the Institute of Biology, Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences and Dr hab. Slawomir Kurek, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Pedagogical University in Krakow, Poland, visited the Faculty of Natural Sciences at UKF in Nitra. They also signed an agreement on cooperation between UKF in Nitra and the Pedagogical University in Krakow.
Their visit to UKF was the result of long-term cooperation between these universities, especially in the field of research. The Polish guests toured biological departments and research laboratories at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, and lectured to the students of the faculty. Dr hab. Gren gave a lecture ´Tea or Coffee? Or Maybe Anything Else?´ and Dr hab. Kurek discussed the topic ´Second Demographic Transition in Poland - Changes in Fertility Pattern´.
At their official meeting with Prof. František Petrovič, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, they discussed opportunities for further cooperation in the areas of research and education, student mobility and establishment of joint study programs with double diplomas.
This cooperation was confirmed by both universities by a cooperation agreement between UKF in Nitra and the Pedagogical University in Krakow, and signed by Prof. Libor Vozár, Rector of Constantine the Philosopher University (UKF) in Nitra and Prof. Kazimierz Karolczak, Rector of the Pedagogical University in Krakow.
