Journals

Publications are one of the major outputs of scientific research and creative activities. The most important and influential scientific papers are published in peer-reviewed journals, i.e. scientific journals indexed in international databases.
Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra ensures publishing of works of its students and staff (monographs, books, textbooks, study materials, scientific journals, proceedings etc.). In addition, various printed materials promoting the educational, research, artistic and other activities at the University and the individual Faculties fall within the category.

  • ARS AETERNA is an international scientific journal issued twice a year by Department of English and American Studies, Faculty of Arts, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra since 2009. The journal is open to contributions of scholars across various disciplines; we would like to establish a platform where the linguists could interact with historians, literary scholars with art historians, philosophers with mathematicians. There would not be art without creativity and that is also the quality we assume that each individual paper will strive for -- to become intellectually stimulating and illuminating. Discussions, analyses, and interpretations of works of art and other cultural products generate a discourse where the world is dealt with as an eternal idea, which comes to existence in myriad forms through the culture, people, and politics or education. Since 2014, the journal is published by De Gruyter Open. Please visit http://www.degruyter.com/view/j/aa to view the journal. In May 2015, the journal was included in ERIH PLUS.

  • X- MUSIC - INTEGRATION – INTERPRETATION is an international scientific journal devoted to contemporary issues in the field of musical culture, musical education and music itself, issued annually (once a year). In 2006 the title was changed to Music - Integrations – Interpretations. The change of title follows the change of the journal’s focus toward exploration of more details and connections to musical-communicational changes of music, with increasing disciplinary cooperation, reception plurality and new musical-scientific and musical-pedagogical integration intrusions. The journal is included in the ERIH PLUS (since June 22, 2015) and EBSCO databases.  The journal is available at: https://www.uk.ukf.sk/en/music-integration-interpretation.
