The further education programs, which are provided by Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra and its Faculties within the lifelong learning scheme, provide partial or full qualification, amend, renew, expand and deepen the existing qualifications acquired in the past and make the interested parties eligible to participate in civic life in the society.
Complementary pedagogical study is designed for the graduates from non-teaching fields of study, and it provides them with the necessary teaching skills for teaching the subjects that build on their university study, taking into account the national examinations taken.
Currently, the most represented educational programs, activities and courses are those designed to develop the professional competencies of teaching and professional staff and health professionals through continuing education of professional and teaching staff at schools, extended study for the teaching staff and specialized training for health professionals.
The University provides the first and second attestation. An attestation verifies the acquired competencies defined in the professional standards for teachers or other professionals who received them through continuous education, self-education and by teaching or carrying out professional activities.
The University provides the teachers and other professionals the opportunity to take language exams in the state language.
The University is also involved in adult and senior education for those who wish to broaden, deepen and complement their existing knowledge and practical skills at the Third Age University.
The Nitra Summer University is a specific training program for children aged 8-11 and it gives them the opportunity to become familiar with the academic environment, nature of study at a university and selected topics of interest, which represent the diversified offer of study programs at both universities in Nitra. The Nitra Summer University is a joint project of UKF, Slovak University of Agriculture and the City of Nitra.
