Student Clubs and Associations
Student Parliament is a civic association of students, which holds leisure events. It is composed of elected student representatives from the Academic Senates of the respective faculties, but it is also open to other University students. The most important event held by the Parliament in cooperation with the University is the Nitra University Days, which takes place at the end of April and beginning of May at both universities under the auspices of its Rectors and the Mayor of Nitra. The most important student project with a long tradition, which is organized by the Student Parliament in cooperation with the University, is the Student Days of Nitra Universities, held on the occasion of the International Students’ Day (November 17). The other activities of the Student Parliament include the UKF Octoberfest (sports and music event at the beginning of the academic year), Dorm Soccer League (a futsal competition for the students at the ŠD UKF Dormitory), or the magazine Občas Nečas.
Club of Christian Students – Lumen was formed in 1993 in order to promote the ideas of Christianity among its members and sympathizers. Since 2008, it has been part of the University Pastoral Center as a civic association. Under the leadership of the UPC Rector, the members of this association are involved in the Center's activities and they help with the implementation of its formative and pastoral objectives on campus.
Association of Hungarian Students – JUGYIK is a joint club of Constantine the Philosopher University and Slovak University of Agriculture. The club was founded based on the student initiatives in 1965 as a literary and artistic circle at the Faculty of Education. The main goal of the Association of Hungarian Students JUGYIK is an active involvement in the creation of cultural, social, motivational and sports contexts for the lovers of culture for the purpose of education, leisure and entertainment.
