An excellent achievement reached by the students of Department of Technology and Information Technologies (Pedagogical faculty UKF Nitra), Lukáš Vaněk and Peter Hodál, who won first places in both sections of the international student competition Technologies Contest Pilsen 2016. This is an excellent success as there were fifty participants representing ten European Universities. The international scientific and technical conference associated with a show and competition of works by students of technical education took place on May 18 – 19, 2016 with support of University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Pilsen Municipality, Czech Didactic Company and Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic. The aim was to enable sharing knowledge and experiences of students who study teacher´s programmes focused on technology and, at the same time, to emphasize the need for quality technical education.
