Cooperation with the ambassadors of Argentina and Chile
On the 3rd of June 2019 Dr Martina Pavlikova, Vice-Rector for International Relations, accepted the invitation of the Ambassador of Argentina, H. E. Rafael Mariano Grossi, to discuss further opportunities for cooperation between universities in Argentina and UKF Nitra. On this occasion, the Ambassador was honoured with a letter of thanks presented to him by Dr Pavlikova, on behalf of UKF Nitra.
Ambassador Grossi was informed about the visit of Prof Petrovič (Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences) to Argentina and the visit of Dr Ambalek from Berisso, Argentina, to UKF Nitra. The Ambassador expressed his considerable admiration and appreciation for all UKF´s activities, which can be regarded as an example of cooperation with Argentina for other Central European universities.
He was also learnt about Slovaks living in Argentina and spoke about the activities and assistance of H. E. Branislav Hitka, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Argentina and Chile, who explored opportunities to contact universities from Argentina and Chile and seek their cooperation with UKF.
Ambassador Hitka also arranged a meeting between the Ambassador of Chile, H. E. Gloria Navarrete, and Dr Pavlikova. After a warm welcome at the Embassy of Chile, Dr Pavlikova informed Ambassador Navarrete about cooperation between UKF and several Chilean universities – Santiago de Chile, Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. The Ambassador offered the Vice-Rector opportunities for further cooperation and a visit from Chilean artists to UKF Nitra among other topics.
The aim of cooperation between UKF Nitra and universities in Argentina and Chile is to challenge our scientists, especially those in the fields of literature, physics, ethnology, biology, chemistry, religious studies, philosophy, tourism and research of national minorities.
