Representatives of UKF at Forum on Teacher Education

International Forum on Teacher Education (IFTE) is the largest conference in the field of teacher education in Russia. The forum is organised by Kazan Federal University, Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and Russian Academy of Education for representatives of the education sector from around the world to provide them a platform for platform for discussing various educational trends and reforms in the field of teacher education, for analysing theoretical and practical issues, traditional and innovative approaches related to the modernization of teacher education.
It used to be organised at the end of May as a three-day event. This year there has been held sixth year of the forum which topic was Perspectives and priorities of teacher education in times of change, choice and challenge. Due the corona pandemic the VI IFTE was organised in a virtual format and to give the highest number of participants to take personal virtual part at the most activities of the forum its program was scheduled from May 27 to June 9, 2020 (video lectures by key speakers, synchronous virtual round tables, international online symposia, research groups meetings, asynchronous scientific sections). The total number of the held forum sections was 136 and the total number of participants was 861, who represented 34 countries and 275 universities.
UKF was represented at this forum within its particular events by delegates of the Faculty of Education and Faculty of Arts prof. Zdenka Gadušová, CSc., prof. PaedDr. Alena Hašková, CSc., prof. PaedDr. THDr. Roman Králik, Th.D., Foreign doc. PaedDr. Eva Stranovská, PhD., doc. Ing. Jozef Polák, CSc., PhDr. Martina Pavlíková, PhD., Mgr. Miroslav Šebo, PhD. (lecturing in sessions and special interest groups Strategies for the transformation of teacher education, Foreign Languages Teaching and Learning, Teacher Education in Central and Eastern Europe: Recent Developments and Future Prospects, Professional Learning and Development).
The outstanding cooperation of our university with KFU is based mainly on mutual contacts with Alfiya Rafisovna Masalimova, head of the Department of Higher School Pedagogy at the Institute of Psychology and Education of Kazan (Volga region) Federal University, who lectured at UKF during her visit in Nitra.
This mutual cooperation of UKF and KFU can be even broaden and strengthen in the future as KFU is one of our approved partner higher education institutions within the UKF project Erasmus KA 107.
