Erasmus + KA107 cooperation with RUDN
Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (UKF) and Peoples’ Friendship University (RUDN University) have successfully completed the work on international project cooperation and partnerships in the framework of bilateral exchange program Erasmus + staff training mobility (project KA107) under the supervision of Vice-Rector for International Relations Dr. Martina Pavlíková. Academic staff of RUDN University was represented by Deputy director of the Institute of Russian language, professor, PhD. Svetlana Elnikova; Head of Russian language department, professor, Dr. Victoria Kurilenko and associate professor Yulia Biryukova, PhD.
One of the main purposes of the training was to share scientific knowledge and ideas about a joint project being carried out by researchers from both universities, which is focused on issues related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of life and education of various groups of university students in a global context.
In this regard, key discussions with the Dean of the Natural Sciences Department Prof. RNDr. František Petrovič, PhD.; the Head of Department of Geography, Prof. RNDr. PhDr. PaedDr. Martin Boltižiar, PhD.; RNDr. Lucia Petríkovičová, PhD.; RNDr. Katarína Vilinová, PhD. and RNDr. Hilda Kramárekova, PhD. were held. Future directions and perspectives in scientific collaboration, strategy for creating joint articles were discussed with an emphasis on the challenges outlined above.
In addition, there were meetings with Professor RNDr. Aleksander Sirotkin, DrSc. Important issues relating to the comparison of educational systems and the countries' international connections were highlighted. The professors came to the conclusion that while each country's educational institutions are unique; the difficulties we face are universal.
Another significant event was held. Russian scholars paid a visit to the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Bratislava, along with Vice-Rector for International Relations Dr. Martina Pavliková. The future cooperation projects were discussed with Elena Epishina, the Centre's director.
The researchers from RUDN University stated that the Erasmus+ staff training mobility went perfectly well. Associate professor Yulia Biryukova, PhD. also noted that the gained experience will be implemented at their home university as well as the newly acquired information will be definitely shared among their colleagues. Head of the Russian language department, professor, Dr. Victoria Kurilenko, the leader of a Russian scientific group studying the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of life and education of various types of university students in a global environment, expressed her delight with the outcomes of the joint project's discussion including the new ideas for future research. Deputy director of the Institute of Russian language, professor Svetlana Elnikova, PhD. highlighted her expectations for future long-term research projects with Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, as well as mutually beneficial international cooperation.
