From 5th to 16th of April 2022, UKF hosted two professors from the State University of Mazandaran (UMZ) in Iran within the framework of Erasmus+ KA107. The visit of the two UMZ professors happened in line with UKF’s long-term policies of expanding its cooperation with universities from different countries of the world.

Dr. Mahmoud Azizi, director of the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation (OISC) and professor of English literature in his meetings with the rector of UKF Professor Libor Vozar, vice-rectors Assoc. Professor Miroslav Tvdon and Dr. Martina Pavlikova and Professor Frantisek Petrovic, dean of the Faculty of Nature Sciences and Informatics discussed issues related to international activities.

In a meeting held with Professor M. Azizi, Dr. Martina Pavlikova reiterated that UKF is willing to expand bilateral cooperation in such fields as the exchange of teachers and students and holding virtual seminars and workshops. It is worth mentioning that the academic cooperation between the two universities was made possible after a visit paid by Professor Alexander Sirotkin and Professor Roman Kralik in 2019.

Additionally, Dr. Fatemeh Khonamri, who had taught two online courses to students of English language and literature at Faculty of Arts, during the first term of 2021, met the students in person and discussed the ongoing program. She also attended different classes at the university and talked about the most recent trends in critical reading. Both her online and her on-campus classes were greatly welcomed by professors and students of the Department of English and American Studies, Faculty of Arts.
