The international conference in a hybrid mode was held at the Faculty of Education in Nitra on 21st and 22nd of June 2022. It was organized by the Department of English Language and Culture in cooperation with the international association Educational Role of Language represented by its founder Dr. Michal Daszkiewicz from the University of Gdańsk.

The participants coming from 7 countries and online guests from more than 6 different countries discussed their expertise, projects and research. The common denominator of all the presentations was ´language´ in education, psychology, literature, sociology or other fields. The topic itself refers to interconnection of language and pedagogical education and this event created the space for new contacts, networking with the promise of new projects and cooperation.

 

Apart from the official part the conference was enriched by a social evening during which our talented student Boglárka Csámpai performed to the guests. They also had an opportunity to taste traditional Slovak food. The meeting of professionals was concluded by the guided tour at Nitra Castle and Diocesan Library provided by the Nitra Tourist Board that prepared also little gifts made by local craftsmen for the international guests. A great number of thank you emails from the conference participants were the proof for the organising team that their energy and time spent on this event was a great investment.
