Dr. h.c. Prof. ThDr. PaedDr. Roman Králik, ThD., MBA, LLM, President of the Kierkegaard Society in Slovakia, has long been systematically engaged in the development of international scholarly relations within interdisciplinary research in philosophy, with particular emphasis on the legacy of Søren Kierkegaard. His international collaboration with Prof. Maria Binetti and Prof. Jose Garcia Martin has been continuously developed since 2009, following their initial meeting at St. Olaf College during a research stay devoted to the study of the works of the Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard. Their longstanding scholarly collaboration constitutes a substantial foundation for current academic partnerships and joint research activities.
Interdisciplinary research at the intersection of cultural studies, Anglophone literature, and philosophy is also significantly advanced by the Vice-Rector, Assoc. Prof. Martina Pavlíková, PhD., MBA. In her academic work, she has consistently fostered international collaboration and has actively participated in numerous major research projects and international lecture stays conducted in cooperation with Prof. Maria Binetti and Prof. Jose Garcia Martin—for instance, University of Granada, University of Seville, St. Olaf College, University of Toronto, and University of Buenos Aires. Her scholarly contribution represents an important bridge between the humanities and the international academic environment.
The discussions held during the meeting primarily focused on opportunities for expanding joint research projects, academic mobility programmes for both students and faculty, as well as the development of collaborative study programmes. Particular emphasis was placed on advancing interdisciplinary collaboration and fostering the integration of diverse scientific domains - priority of critical significance within the contemporary academic areas.

The meeting took place in a spirit of strengthening international academic collaboration, exchanging expertise, identifying new opportunities for joint teaching and research initiatives. The participants concurred that such partnerships constitute a fundamental pillar of the internationalisation of higher education and make a significant contribution to enhancing the quality of both education and scientific research.
The visit of the international delegation further attests to our university’s openness to global academic community and its ambition to serve as an active partner in international scholarly dialogue. We are confident that the newly established contacts will yield tangible outcomes in the form of joint projects, publications, and further initiatives that will enrich not only our academic community but also the broader scientific areas.
The international partners visited Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, which currently represents one of the key instruments for the internationalisation of higher education and the promotion of academic mobility.
Special appreciation is extended to the Slovak Academic Association for International Cooperation (SAAIC) for its sustained support of education in an international context and for fostering favourable conditions for the development of international partnerships.
