ECTS & Course Catalogues

Higher education at UKF is based on the implementation of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). More about ECTS system at UKF in Nitra.

Courses offered in foreign languages (ECTS course catalogues) for the academic year 2019/2020:
Study programmes offered at UKF (in Slovak or in foreign languages) are available at: https://www.ukf.sk/en/ects-and-accredited-study-programmes.
All courses and all study programmes offered at UKF can be also searched through university Academic Information System (AIS) on the website: https://ais2.ukf.sk/ais/portal/changeTab.do?tab=29 (within Slovak version available without login and password).
International Erasmus+ students are allowed to make changes comparing their originally proposed programme in the Learning Agreement within one month after arriving to UKF. Learning Agreement is always signed by departmental and faculty coordinator of UKF, not by International Relations Office. International Erasmus+ students are free to choose courses of interest also from other fields of study, study years or other faculties provided that these courses are taught in a foreign language (mostly English) at their level of study and will be agreed by the respective departmental coordinator. Study timetables are given to Erasmus student at the faculty or student can print them from AIS.

Learn Slovak

Slovak Language Course for Exchange Students

Each academic year our university offers free of charge Slovak Language Course for incoming exchange students. For attending the course, student is asked to send Slovak Language Course Application Form to International Relations Office along with his further documents.
Course is held during the whole semester at the Language Centre of the Faculty of Arts, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. Communication language is usually English or German. After successful completion of the course student obtains 2 ECTS.
To improve your Slovak language skills or just to familiarize yourself with basics of Slovak language, you can use a free external on-line portal www.slovake.eu, which offers Slovak language courses at different levels (A1 and A2), grammar, exercises or games as well as information about Slovak particularities. Portal has been created by participants from Slovakia, Germany, Lithuania, Poland and United Kingdom and supported by the European Commission within KA2 project "Languages" of the Lifelong Learning Programme.
