Recently, staff of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at UKF in Nitra have participated in several activities which strengthened cooperation between UKF and universities in Georgia. Their goal was to identify study programs and research areas, in which closer cooperation and exchange stays for students and teachers could be established under the Erasmus+ KA107 project.
To achieve these objectives, the Vice-Dean for International Relations and Development, Dr Martin Drlík, took part in the Second International Erasmus Week at Ilia State University in Tbilisi, between 16th and 20th September, 2019. As there were 15 representatives from other European universities, the attendants could fully share their experiences with ICM, Erasmus+ KA107, Erasmus + KA207 schemes and to discuss activities at their universities aimed at making exchange stays for students and teachers more attractive.

During the week, workshops strengthening university brands and developing intercultural communication were held. During the final part of the meeting, the participants were introduced to a national grant scheme for scholarships and research stays in Georgia, including the support of international cooperation in doctoral programs. They also considered presentations of departmental structures and their responsibilities, managing international exchange stays and research projects at Ila State University as very beneficial.
Finally, the guests could discover the sights and landmarks of Georgia's capital and its surroundings, as well as the traditions and culture of the country. This informal program was prepared by the hosting university.
